DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLANT CELL AND ANIMAL CELL

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLANT CELL AND ANIMAL CELL

Plant cells are eukaryotic cells present in green plants. Their distinctive features include primary cell walls, presence of chloroplast with the capability to perform photosynthesis and a large vacuole that regulates turgor pressure. Plant cell undergo through unique method of cell division involving the formation of a cell plate or that separates the new daughter cells.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLANT CELL AND ANIMAL CELL

An animal cell is a type of eukaryotic cell that lacks a cell wall and has a true, membrane-bound nucleus along with other cellular organelles.

Generally animal cells are smaller than plant cell and are irregular in shape too. There are some differences between plant and animal cell, however some similarity also exists.

The difference in plant and animal cell composition is the reason behind the difference between plants and animals, their structure and functions.
